Poinsettia Christmas
These are 3 cards I made using my new poinsettia die from Spellbinders and a Holly die from Cheery Lynn Designs. Very quick and easy to put together. I bought the blank cards from Michaels last year during their Xmas Clearance Sale. The ovals are also from spellbinders. I added stickles to the tips of the flowers to give them a little sparkle. I also added stickles to the centres of the little red flowers. Clear stamp sentiments were added to the fronts and insides of the cards. I sponged the veins of the flowers & leaves with SU inks. I used an ornament embossing folder from spellbinders for the background behind the white poinsettia. I'm taking a couple of weeks off from work and am hoping to make some more cards and get some other crafts done. I just received some dies from Cottage Cutz which I am looking forward to using. So many creative tools to use out there these days and I just love them all.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the holidays and keeping warm. We had a white Xmas where I live and very cold temperatures so its a good time to just stay indoors and get caught up on some crafting. Happy Holidays!

HMFMC131 - Little Halloween Pumkin
It's Sunday and I stayed up late last night making this card. My little furry buddy Koda at my side. This is another stamp that I saw last year that I had to have. He is so cute all dressed up in his pumkin outfit but he better watch out for those spiders. I used Sizzix letters and forgot to cut out the O in Halloween so rather than going through my storage room digging them out again I looked at the spider punch and thought "why not". I like how it turned out. I colored the image with copic markers and added some glossy accents to the costume and orange spider. I also wanted to add some sparkle to it so out came the Stickles which I used on the lettering, the brads and as a frame around the image. The white cs was embossed with a spellbinders spiderweb ef. The inside has spiderweb which was made with a MS punch. I also put a clear stamp "BOO" on the inside along with a couple of orange spiders.
Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for dropping by.

HMFMC131 - Spooky Trick or Treat
I created this card for the HM Monday Challenge - Spooky Sweet & Colourful. There is also a blog hop which is always fun to do. I am also giving this card to my DD who's favorite occassion is Halloween. I bought this HM stamp last year after seeing so many cute halloween cards made with him. I really had fun coloring him with my copic markers. I also added glossy accents to his costume and pumpkin. He is so interested in his container of candy that he doesn't even notice the flying witch or the hissing black cat. I just received a couple of spellbinders halloween die sets which I have used for my card. I used a roller and spectrum ink for my colorful bg. The sidewalk was made with a spellbinders brick ef and I sponged chocolate chip ink over to make them stand out. The fence is a MS punch. The tree is a branch from another new spellbinders die set I recently purchased.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and I hope you get a chance to check out the blog hop on the HM site. There are so many wonderful creations by all the DT members.

Welcome Little Monica Mouse
This is my entry for the House Mouse Challenge #110 - New. I don't have any baby cards in my stash so decided to make one. I think this little mouse sucking on a soother is just adorable. I did the card in purple in green so that I can use it for either a boy or a girl. I heat embossed the 'Welcome Little One'. The main image was colored with copic markers and I sponged SU gable green and green galore. I used spellbinders dies to cut out the image and the fancy circle in behind the image. The white strips were cut out with a MS border punch. The swirl in the corner was made with purple jewellery wire and a fancy brad added to the centre. I added feathers along the bottom with a fancy brad in the centre. The dp is from SU and I ran it through my cb with a circle ef.
We have had such a mild winter here so far with a brown Xmas. The temp. has now dropped and we are in for some cold weather for the next week or so. Not sure that I am ready for this but ready or not it will come. There is also supposed to be some snow so we will see what tonight brings.
I don't have many followers, but, I would like to thank the few that I have. Your visits to my site are much appreciated and I always enjoy reading any comments you leave behind.
Again thanks for looking and I do hope that you enjoy your weekend.

Wool Crafts
I decided to do something different over the holidays and pulled out my Knifty Knitter which I had bought a couple of years ago and had never used. I have only dabbled with knitting and am not really good at it but using this knitting device made it quite easy and I really like how it turned out. My daughter showed a lot of interest in it and claimed the finished product. She also ran out and bought one of these knitters for herself and went to town making a scarf and an afghan. We have had a really mild winter this year but I know that the cold and snow is just around the corner and this scarf will come in handy.
This is a scarf that I crocheted as a Xmas gift for my stepmom. I was at a couple of craft shows just before Xmas and there were so many hand made scarf's this year. Some really beautiful work. So, not knowing what to get my stepmom for Xmas at this point I decided to try my hand at making a scarf for her. I did single crochet stripes and added some fun fir down the middle which you can't really see except for the dark brown stripe. Buttons seemed to be a popular thing to add for decoration so I made these buttons with jewellery clay and painted a glaze overtop. Having given these scarfs away I do not have one for myself so have started to make one which I will finish before the cold hits us I hope and will post a picture down the road. Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog and enjoy your weekend.
